300 Engineering was selected by the Miami-Dade Water and Sewer Department to provide assistance and engineering services to review, analyze, optimize and provide recommendations for the business process from As-builts to GIS.  WASD required assistance to optimize the business procedure from the reception of As-builts until digitized in Geographic Information System (GIS).


300 Engineering utilized the following Lean Methodology tools in the analysis of this business process:

•  Value Stream Mapping

•  Pareto Diagrams

•  Spaghetti Diagrams


By means of these tools 300 Engineering was able to obtain critical information regarding the current needs for process improvement in terms of reduction of Lead times and a shift from Batch to Continuous Flow of information.
